After being announced for a 2026 release at the id@Xbox Showcase back in May, Radical Forge and Team17 have now decided to delay the launch of Golf With Your Friends 2 until 2027. The teams posted the news onto social media, and followed up with an article on Steam explaining their reasons.

We’re moving the release of Golf With Your Friends 2 from this fall to 2027. We know a lot of you were hoping to hit the courses this year, and we share in that disappointment. We truly appreciate your patience, enthusiasm, and continued support. ⛳ https://t.co/GlTCaGkrpM https://t.co/1S0ahF7EVt

In the article posted on Steam, the teams behind the game acknowledged that this was the second release date change, and that fans may be disappointed, but stated that they were focusing completely on getting the full game ready for release. Here’s the statement in full:

“In our previous update, we explained that we were moving away from an Early Access release to focus on launching the full game. Getting that release ready is taking longer than we expected, and we won’t meet the fall 2026 window.

We know this is the second change to our release plans. Many of you were looking forward to playing this year, and we’re sorry to keep you waiting.

We don’t have a specific 2027 date to share just yet, but we will let you know as soon as it’s locked in.

Thank you for your continued patience, enthusiasm, and support!”

Golf With Your Friends 2 is the follow-up to the successful original title. Per the teams at Team17 and Radical Forge, “Tee up for a wildly refreshed round of chaotic mini-golf as Golf With Your Friends 2 introduces six brand-new courses, each built around its own unique gameplay twist. Whether challenging players to make gravity-defying shots or conquer winding, physics-bending challenges, every course delivers a distinct experience that keeps players on their toes. Beyond the greens, a powerful new level editor puts full creative control in players’ hands, making it easier than ever to design, customize, and share intricate courses packed with dynamic obstacles.”

As stated above, there is currently no definite release date for Golf With Your Friends 2, but stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.

Golf With Your Friends 2 is due to release in 2027 onto Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
