Street Fighter 6 significantly overhauled the game's story mode with the addition of World Tour, allowing fans to create their own Street Fighter character and explore a sizable open world. Real-time commentary was a major addition to the game's fast-paced fights, featuring tournament-style voice-over from several popular Street Fighter commentators reacting to Street Fighter 6's action. Now, Street Fighter 6 has officially revealed a new collaboration coming to the game with a massively popular anime franchise.
Street Fighter 6 is Crossing Over With Star Detective Precure
Toei Animation officially revealed Street Fighter 6's new collaboration with Star Detective Precure through the company's social media. The announcement revealed that Capcom and Toei will partner for four exclusive episodes to premiere in Street Fighter 6's Battle Hub, featuring members of Street Fighter's playable roster, such as Luke, Jamie, and Kimberley, in the art style of the newest Precure anime. The post did not reveal any details about the plots for the collab episodes, including whether Street Fighter characters will interact directly with the cast of Star Detective Precure. The Street Fighter 6 and Star Detective Precure crossover is scheduled to begin on December 17.
Street Fighter's newest crossover pairs the iconic fighting game franchise with a beloved anime franchise. Star Detective Precure serves as the 2026 season of the Precure magical girl anime series, which has typically aired a new season each year since the debut of Futari wa Pretty Cure in 2004. The ongoing Precure season also made waves in Japan in late May and early June 2026 when it collaborated with long-running mystery anime Detective Conan, with both shows airing a crossover episode with each other. The announcement followed shortly after the Japanese premiere of the Star Detective Precure movie, which debuted in theaters on September 18.
