Company of Heroes 3 Deploying Narrative-Driven Operation Torch DLC in November

Following the launch of the standalone Final Stand release and news about Update 3.0, Company of Heroes 3 is receiving next month its first single-player-oriented DLC since its 2023 launch: Operation Torch.

“Inspired by the Allied campaign in Axis-occupied North Africa, Operation Torch puts players in command of an American force during its first major campaign against German troops. Across a series of historically inspired missions, players will lead an inexperienced army through hard-fought victories and costly defeats, building it into a seasoned force on the battlefield.”

The narrative-driven campaign is told through the perspectives of three different American soldiers, and we’re told it spans 15 chapters that highlight different scenarios, units, and mechanics. While details are scarce, we’ve also learned about a “rewarding progression system featuring meaningful choices between missions” that can define each player’s playstyle and give the campaign additional replay value.

Longtime players, especially those who prefer solo play to multiplayer, will welcome the announcement. While Company of Heroes 3 didn’t make as big of a splash as its two predecessors, Relic has been quite committed to iterating on and evolving its RTS formula while also paying attention to the older titles. Overall, the series still stands out as a very unique one in the strategy space, and personally, I’m happy to see it this active after 20 years.

Company of Heroes 3: Operation Torch is launching on November 25, 2026, on PC via Steam.

Company of Heroes 3 is now available on PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Only the PC version has received the most recent updates, and no release date has been set for Operation Torch on consoles.
