METRO 2039 arrives February 4, 2027 and there's a new trailer

METRO 2039 from 4A Games now has a firm release date of February 4th, 2027. On top of that we have some fresh footage of it.

More about it - The Metro has been transformed by a powerful new regime and its leader, the fanatical Spartan leader known as Hunter. METRO 2039's protagonist, The Stranger, is consumed with anger and hatred, chastising the Fuhrer for his lies and hypocrisy. As part of the Spartan Order, Hunter was a legend, a high-ranking, experienced Ranger, who swore to protect the Metro. What's left of the Spartan Order as he knew it lies in ruins, and where the Spartans were once considered selfless protectors, the Stranger believes Hunter has become the very enemy the Spartans used to fight...

In a press release sent to GamingOnLinux, 4A Games said:

"We’ll be sharing much more about the technology, specs and different modes powering all editions of METRO 2039 in the months between now and release.

By combining the very latest hardware developments with our proprietary 4A Engine, METRO 2039 is the first game in the series to be built from the ground-up for ray tracing. Add in nearly two decades of experience crafting METRO games, and we’ve been able to bring our bleak but beautiful world to life like never before."
