The Fun Never Ends — Escape from Playtime Release Date Announced

Mob Entertainment has given their latest title, Escape from Playtime, an official release date. The game is coming out exclusively on Steam Early Access on October 21st, 2026. A full release is planned later down the road.

Known for introducing horror game fans around the globe to Huggy Wuggy and his friends, Mob Entertainment is focusing on their most beloved characters this time around: Catnap and his friends, the Smiling Critters. There is no price point yet available, but eager fans can add the game to their wishlists now.

Escape from Playtime Game Features

• Early access grants:
  • Full eight-character roster
  • One starter zone
  • Core enemy lineup
  • New zones, enemies, and features to come based on player feedback
• Can be played in single player mode or with up to three friends in multiplayer mode
• Proximity voice chat enabled in multiplayer mode
• Explore the depths of an abandoned factory (i.e. classrooms, warehouses, laboratories, dark corridors, etc.)
• Fight to survive the monsters (rejected Playtime Co. creations) that lurk in the shadows
• Gather parts and resources as directed by a mysterious Voice
• Use what’s available to survive
  • Search for tools
  • Uncover clues
  • Find hiding spots
  • Create distractions
  • Use alternate routes to outsmart the monsters
• Play as various Smiling Critters characters from the series and view the world in a smaller way than usual
• Explore iconic Poppy Playtime locations from previous titles
• Uncover new locations as the Voice alters the layout of the factory
